Puzzle care guide
A puzzle can last decades if you treat it with a little care. Here are the simple habits we recommend every borrower and lender follows.
Storage
- Store the box flat, not on its edge — pieces settle in one corner otherwise.
- Keep it away from direct sunlight and humidity.
- Use a bag or zip pouch inside if the box is worn — it keeps pieces from sneaking out.
While you're solving
- Work on a clean, dry surface. Keep food and drinks well away.
- Never force pieces together — it damages the tabs and the next solver notices.
- Count pieces against the box count before packing it back up.
Transport
- Tape or rubber-band the box closed so the lid doesn't pop open in transit.
- Use a padded mailer if you're shipping rather than handing it over.
