About these Terms
These Terms govern access to and use of the Piece & Quiet platform, including the website, app, messaging, and any related services. By using the platform you agree to these Terms.

What the platform does
Piece & Quiet is a community service that helps users find, list, lend, borrow, and swap physical jigsaw puzzles. Unless we expressly say otherwise, we are not the owner, seller, lender, borrower, carrier or insurer of any puzzle listed by users. The loan or swap is made directly between users.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) to create an account or enter into a loan/swap on the platform.
Listing accuracy
Listings must be truthful, clear, and complete. Lenders must disclose title, piece count, condition, completeness status, known missing pieces, notable damage, whether the original box is included, handover or shipping options, any deposit, and the declared replacement value.
Completeness statuses
Listings should be marked Verified Complete, Believed Complete, Known Missing Pieces, or Unchecked. Unless a listing is expressly Verified Complete, puzzle completeness is not guaranteed.
How loans and swaps form
A loan or swap is formed when a request is accepted through the platform. The accepted details, dates, deposit, declared value, and these Terms become binding between the participating users.
Handover, shipping, and return
Users must package puzzles securely, use the agreed handover or shipping method, provide accurate addresses, and return on time in the same condition, allowing for ordinary wear consistent with the disclosed condition.
Damage, loss, and missing pieces
Borrowers must use reasonable care. A user is liable for loss or damage they cause during their possession. We may decide claims on the balance of probabilities using available evidence, capped at the declared replacement value plus direct shipping and reasonable claim-handling costs.
Fees and payments
Where we charge fees, all mandatory fees are shown before you commit. Payments, deposits, holds, and payouts may be handled by third-party providers.
No off-platform dealing
You must not use the platform to find a user and then complete the loan or swap outside the platform in order to avoid fees, evidence, or safety tools.
Ratings and reviews
Reviews are only allowed for real transactions completed through the platform. They must be honest, relevant, and free of threats, harassment, personal contact details, or off-platform offers.
Privacy and data use
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Personal data exchanged through the platform may only be used for the relevant transaction, dispute handling, or other purposes allowed by law.
Moderation and reporting
You may report listings, messages, reviews, or accounts that appear illegal, fraudulent, unsafe, or in breach of these Terms. We may investigate and take action, including content removal or account restrictions, and will provide reasons where required by law.
Disclaimers and liability
Except where prohibited by law, the platform is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, user honesty, or puzzle completeness beyond disclosed information. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these Terms
We may change the platform and these Terms. Material changes will be announced before they take effect. Changes apply prospectively.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the legislation in effect in Denmark, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory law of your country of residence.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA and we cannot resolve a dispute, you may contact your national consumer-protection authority or use any applicable national ADR scheme.
