How it works
Piece & Quiet is a lending library for physical jigsaw puzzles. Members list the puzzles they own, other members borrow them, and the same boxes get solved again and again instead of gathering dust.

Find a puzzle
Browse the shelves and filter by difficulty, piece count and availability. Every listing shows condition, owner and roughly where the puzzle lives.

Request a loan
Requesting reserves one borrow credit. The credit is held while the owner decides — it is only spent when the loan becomes active, and released again if it is declined or cancelled.
- 03
Agree the handoff
Once approved, a conversation opens between the two of you. You arrange pickup or shipping yourselves. We recommend pickup when you're in the same town.

Solve it
The standard loan is six weeks. Need longer? Message the owner — most say yes when nobody is queued behind you.

Return it as you got it
Count the pieces, tape the box, and mark the loan returned. The owner confirms and the loan closes.
Common questions
- What is a borrow credit?
- One credit equals one loan. Patrons receive credits every month; anyone can buy packs. Credits don't expire.
- What if someone already borrowed the puzzle?
- You can join the queue. When the puzzle comes back, the next person in line is notified automatically and gets first refusal.
- What if my request is declined?
- Your credit is released immediately. No credit is ever spent unless a loan actually becomes active.
- What if pieces are missing?
- Tell the owner as soon as you notice, and note it when you return the puzzle. See the missing pieces guide for the details.
- Who pays for shipping?
- That's between the two of you. Most members split it or meet in person.
